Perched on the hillside above the friendly village of Montriond which is linked to Morzine, Chalet Étoile Filante (Chalet Shooting Star) has magnificent views of the Morzine valley and being south-facing, it benefits from day-long sunshine. It is perfectly located to give our guests a head start to the Ardent express bubble lift which gives swift access to Avoriaz and some of the best mountain biking terrain in the Porte du Soleil. The chalet can either sleep 14 people in 7 ensuite twin bedrooms or 8 people in 4 ensuite twin bedrooms, with all the necessaries to create a luxury self-catered summer holiday. It has been designed with comfort and style in mind by renowned local chalet builders, Grosset-Janin, and comprises seven en-suite twin bedrooms, three on the ground floor and four on the top floor. When booking the chalet for just 8 people we make up the top 4 bedrooms, with the bottom 3 rooms being locked. Two of the ground floor rooms would be ideally suited for families, as they are set apart from the third room. Also on the ground floor is a drying area and secure garage with entrance for guests leaving for and returning from mountain biking or their activities, and separate toilet for use of all guests.

On the middle floor guests are welcomed in a roomy and cosy porch area, where they can remove outdoor clothing in comfort before entering the chalet. A hall leads to the large L-shaped lounge which has seating for all the guests in comfortable sofas and armchairs surrounding the open fireplace, with fabulous views from the full length sliding glass doors which lead onto the balcony. The separate dining room seats fourteen people. Full length sliding glass doors can be opened to let in fresh air on warmer days and access to the large balcony for al fresco dining and barbecues in fine summer weather. To see photos of the dining room click here

On the top floor there are four en-suite bedrooms all of which can be twins or doubles. Each has ample wardrobe space, a spacious bathroom with power shower and heated towel rail, and the front rooms have doors leading to a balcony looking down the valley. To see photos of the bedrooms click here

The chalet is finished to a very high standard, with under-floor heating on the ground and first levels. . There is ample hot water from two large boilers and heaters in each bedroom. There is FREE wifi internet access in the chalet.

The outside of the chalet is as beautiful as the inside, with thoughtfully designed woodwork and masonry.
